We round-up what was missed at this year's postponed Salone del Mobile.Milano furniture fair.
Salone del Mobile. Milano: What was missed at the world's largest furniture fair
When you’re planning a kitchen or bathroom there is no substitute for seeing the products you’re interested in for yourself. Scale, proportion and detail can be hard to judge from a photograph, and quality has to be seen to be appreciated. This is as true for interior designers and architects as it is for consumers, which is why Perrin & Rowe regularly exhibit at trade shows across the world.
One of the biggest events in the industry calendar is the Milan furniture fair, Salone del Mobile, held every April. The show occupies an area of 2.5M sqft and attracts nearly 300,000 visitors – designers, developers, manufacturers, distributors and journalists. Until this year, however, Perrin & Rowe had never exhibited in Milan. So at the beginning of January we were busily planning a show-stopping stand with our sister brands, Shaws of Darwen and Victoria + Albert.
Salone was of course postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and our plans were filed away for a future date. But we had so many new products and offers to share, it seemed a shame to let the moment pass. So we have produced a guide to our Salone stand – a ‘What You Would Have Seen’ tour of the Perrin & Rowe, Shaws of Darwen and Victoria + Albert enclosure.
Simply download our mini-brochure here, pour yourself a large glass of Prosecco and wear fashionable sunglasses even though you are indoors, and enjoy a little slice of the Milan furniture fair.
And if you would like to see any of these products for yourself, our London showroom is now open again at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. Opening hours are limited, and an appointment should be booked in advance, so do call the showroom before you visit (020 7351 30850).
