By the river at Chelsea you’ll find one of London’s best kept design secrets

A short stroll south from Fulham Broadway and the Stamford Bridge football ground, crossing the Kings Road and walking past the Lots Road sales rooms will bring you to Chelsea Harbour. Even closer is the Imperial Wharf overground station, which design enthusiasts tend to pass through on their way to Kensington Olympia for the Ideal Home Show. But if you’re not a professional interior designer, you’ll probably be unaware of the Design Centre, a large building with three glass domes beside the Chelsea Harbour Hotel.

Perrin & Rowe Showroom - Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour

Inside the Design Centre you’ll find 120 showrooms featuring some 600 of the world’s most prestigious interiors brands. It’s the largest of its kind in Europe, a resource for sourcing everything from furniture to fabrics, bedding to brassware.

Although none of the showrooms sell directly to retail customers, all welcome interested visitors. And they can, of course, help identify suppliers when you’re ready to buy. Think of it as a magazine like World of Interiors or Elle Decoration come to life, with inspiring displays and samples to help with planning or mood boards. Vanity Fair describe the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour as ‘the interior design world’s Mecca’.

Perrin & Rowe Showroom - Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour

Perrin & Rowe’s showroom is in the North Dome, on the third floor. Here you can see and touch both our brassware and sanitaryware. We have a working hot tap, and a display that shows our seven brassware finishes side-by-side. Here you can get information and advice, and see new products – like our Hoxton range – up close.

If you’re planning a bathroom, our showroom is next door to Victoria + Albert, British makers of beautiful bathtubs.

The Design Centre has coffee shops and a renowned design book shop. There is even a car park in the basement if you need your own transport. If you want to discover what is happening in the world of design, the Design Centre is a memorable, enjoyable and stress-free experience - away from the bustle of the Kings Road and the crowds at design fairs.

To interior designers, it’s the best kept design secret in London. So just don’t tell them we told you.

Address: Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, Lots Road, London, SW10 0XE
Open Monday to Friday (closed weekends), 9:30am to 5:30pm.
