Practical and Stylish Finishing Touches

As celebrated architect and designer, Charles Eames famously said, “The details are not the details. They make the design.” This philosophy resonates with us deeply, and is why we give as much care and attention to our finishing touches as we do our main brassware collections.

Meticulously hand crafted at our UK foundry by master artisans, our hand rinses, soap dispensers and pot fillers offer convenient and practical features that are needed to keep a kitchen running smoothly while also elevating a room to something truly special. Read on to discover how to create a personalised wet zone to suit your needs and lifestyle with designs and finishes to complement a variety of kitchen styles – from timeless traditional to industrial chic.

HAND RINSE

Available in five designs and eight finishes, our retractable hand rinse is ideal for everyday tasks such as washing fruits and vegetables, rinsing the sink, general cleaning and even filling pots for cooking. Easy to use, a hand rinse can be positioned to the left or the right of the sink and all designs benefit from insulated handles and a flexible hose {standard length 120cm} for safety and convenience. Combine with a Perrin & Rowe mixer or a 3-in-1 instant hot tap, or create a statement sink with a mixer, mini-instant hot or filtration tap. Operated at the push of a button, each hand rinse comes with a unique in-spout diverter system that seamlessly diverts water from the tap rather than the mains to the rinse; this allows our hand rinses to be specified in homes with low water pressure.

In the kitchen above, fashion designer and founder of British luxury bridalwear brand Halfpenny London, Kate Halfpenny has chosen our polished brass Ionian mixer and rinse and teamed it with our Parthian mini-instant hot tap and a Shaws of Darwen Ribchester 1000 double bowl fireclay sink – photography credit Issy Crocker. It’s the perfect blend of traditional charm with a luxe look.

For something a little more modern in style, the above in-frame Shaker kitchen by Intone Designs mixes dark blue painted cabinetry with a practical Belfast sink complete with our Callisto mixer and rinse in pewter.

SOAP DISPENSER

Along with hand rinses, we also offer a range of liquid soap dispensers. Perfect for achieving a multipurpose and coordinated workstation, we have designs for our Country, Traditional and Contemporary collections with deck mounted, freestanding and wall mounted models available. They also come in all eight of our finishes so you can match with your chosen Perrin & Rowe mixer for a co-ordinated look. Shown below, we love how Faye Donnellan of @fayes_home_edit has opted for our pewter Phoenician mixer and rinse alongside our Traditional soap dispenser.

Meanwhile, adding warmth to a stylish neutral kitchen, Katie and Stuart of @reviving_no37 have chosen the statement look of our Phoenician mixer, rinse and soap dispenser in aged brass to match the furniture handles – below.

POT FILLER

Another great way of bringing extra function to your kitchen is with a pot filler. Popular in North America for many years, it’s only recently that the UK has started to embrace this must-have accessory and here at Perrin & Rowe, we’ve seen sales double this year so far with 75% of customers opting for a ‘living’ brass finish. Usually, a pot filler is installed on the wall above the hob or cooker for convenient access to water while cooking. We love the below kitchen seen on a recent episode of George Clarke’s Old House, New Home, featuring our Traditional pot filler in polished brass.

As with all our brassware, including our hand rinses and soap dispensers, our pot fillers are handcrafted in the UK and will complement everything from painted Shaker-style cabinetry to sleek handle-less, high-gloss designs. Consider installing on a statement splashback – marble or marble-effect looks stunning as seen below in this Cast London design.
