The Lanesborough, Hyde Park

Winner of the Conde Nast Traveller Award for Best International Urban Hotel 2009, London’s Lanesborough Hotel captures the gracious style and hospitality of an early 19th century residence.

The Lanesborough was built in 1719 as a country retreat for the second Viscount Lanesborough, James Lane. Some years later, in 1733 the House was used as a hospital and stayed this way until 1980. Ten years later The Lanesborough opened as a luxury hotel following extensive renovation and redevelopment. Ideally located in prestigious Knightsbridge overlooking Hyde Park, this luxury hotel now features 95 guest rooms including 43 suites.

The architects and interior designers took extreme care in restoring the building to its 1830s splendour. Furniture, chandeliers, drapiers and fabrics were copied from authentic examples of the 1820s and 1830s. What you see today is an outstanding example of neo classical design and decor.

Synonymous with this luxurious and traditional décor, showers from the Perrin & Rowe Traditional Collection were selected by the design team during the refurbishment. Exclusively manufactured in the UK from only the highest quality materials, Perrin & Rowe showers provide guests within the Lanesborough Hotel with a truly indulgent showering experience.
