The English Tapware Company’s new Sydney showroom is a testament to the creative collaboration between the studio of Hecker Guthrie and The English Tapware Company. With a shared passion for authenticity, quality and craftsmanship, this was a partnership guaranteed to succeed. In a beautiful, historic building in the Woollahra Village in Sydney, Hecker Guthrie have created an environment that reflects the high level of quality and refinement which is the essence of the exclusive brands: Perrin & Rowe, Hawthorn Hill and Acquello.
The brief was for an inviting and engaging retail space, which showcased The English Tapware Company’s luxury kitchen and bathroom fittings to Sydney’s design community and discerning homeowners. Sydney architects and designers sought a designated showroom for Perrin & Rowe and the associated brands to enable them and their clients to view and select from the full range of products with the assistance of knowledgeable sales people.
A successful showroom would encourage the customer to imagine the products installed into their project. The space needed to be beautiful and to have a timeless feel; it would allow clients to select a fitting based on the merit of its design and not categorise the product into one particular interior style.
The English Tapware Company required a showroom which reflected their unique position in the market and honoured the high level of their design and manufacture. The displays needed to show the exquisite detailing of these products and allow the purchaser to appreciate the engineering excellence.
